Society1 : Meet the Team

True to our nature of championing small and local businesses, Society1 is run by a very small team of passionate and dedicated individuals.

If you’re a regular at Society1, you’ll definitely have seen or spoken to each of us, but read on to learn a bit more about the magic behind your favourite coworking space!

Brendan King

Brendan King is one of the Co-Founders of Society1. Most people who have been in the space will have met Brendan, whose role is mainly focused on the day-to-day operations of the space. His favourite parts of running a coworking space are working with the “tech stuff,” from setting up new systems, trouble shooting, and developing the digital side of the space. Like all of us, he’s also enamoured with the community of S1.

Outside of work, Brendan loves travel, spending time with his family, and motorsports.

Fun Fact: Brendan’s favourite film is Dumb and Dumber

Catarina King

Cat King is one of the Co-Founders of Society1. Though she can’t always be present in the building, her role is community, marketing, and team-focused. Cat is motivated by our community and particularly enjoys seeing Society1 members grow and achieve things, especially when they work together.

Outside of work, Cat loves cooking and family time.

Fun Fact: Cat’s favourite book is Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Chris Ruppert

Chris Ruppert is one of the Co-founders of Society1. He recently relocated to Portugal so is no longer here day-today, but is still involved behind the scenes and loves to catch up with everyone when he’s back in the UK. Chris says that he loves the achievement that comes with overcoming stressful hurdles and situations when it comes to his work.

Outside of work, Chris loves being out on the Ocean, be it sailing, paddle boarding, or surfing.

Fun Fact: Chris’ favourite film is Untouchable (The original French one)

Kally Draycott

Kally Draycott, who joined our team about 6 months ago, is our Coworking Space Co-Ordinator and Host. Her role involves a bit of everything from Social Media to event planning to generally helping the space run smoothly. Kally’s background is in hospitality management, and she says her favourite part of her job is playing such a central role in the community.

Outside of work, Kally loves the outdoors, running, and reading.

Fun Fact: Kally is a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan
