Preston People: TEAone

We do a regular series on Instagram called #PrestonPeople where we feature a local person, group, or business. This time, we’re featuring Gavin Renshaw (aka MrTeaOne), a Preston-Based artist and muralist.

Here’s what Gavin had to tell us about what he does:

Society1: Tell us a bit about you and what you do:

GR: I’m Gavin Renshaw, an artist based at Birley Studios in Preston. I spend half the year painting large scale outdoor murals, and the cooler months in the studio working on art projects and commisions.

Society1: What do you love about being based in Preston?

GR: I’ve lived in PReston for just over 20 years and I love it. It’s great for being able to reach the whole country for travel, and it has the best parks of anywhere I’ve visited.

Society1: Where do you find inspiration for your work?

GR: Inspiration is found anywhere and everywhere, the streets of Preston are a great place to start – full of characters! It has some fantastic architecture (the best bus station!) and the surrounding countryside is fabulous.
