Preston has no shortage of delicious independent lunch spots. Next time you're working at Society1 and want to nip out for lunch, let us give you some ideas. Here's a quick guide to our favourites:
Kimji
Kimji is the city centre’s only Korean restaurant, and we feel lucky to have it so nearby. They even do a lunchtime deal for £8.95 – a great deal for excellent and authentic food. 🥢
Cherry Pie
Head to Cherry Pie for toasties, wraps, and other café classics! Located in the Indoor Market, it’s the perfect place to stop for lunch whilst doing some shopping in town!
The Potato Tram
The Spud Brothers Hot Potato tram has been a Preston icon for decades. Serving up jacket potatoes, parched peas and more, you can find their cute converted tram on the flag market most days for a delicious homemade lunch! 🥔
Ravenous
Ravenous is a delightful independent café and coffee shop on Canon Street in the city centre. Serving up breakfasts, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, salads and more, this lovely café feels like home in all the best ways. 🥪
Tea House
The Tea House is a lovely little café on Cannon street. Here you’ll find hundreds of teas from around the world, as well as delicious cuisine from Poland, England, and beyond!
Meiz
Meiz is a fabulous Japanese restaurant quite near the train station. Head here for sushi, bento boxes & ramen. They even have lunch specials!
Chamo
Club Chamo is the newest kid on the block. Located near the university, this little street food restaurant combines south American flavours with a contemporary twist. It’s worth the walk out of the city centre, and is extremely reasonably priced!
