Preston has no shortage of great independent coffee shops - we're truly spoilt for choice! Here's a quick guide to our favourites:
Holy Grounds
Holy Grounds is the perfect stop for a coffee to bring on your walk through Avenham Park. Be sure to try their doughnuts too!
North Common
North Common is Preston’s newest super-cool independent coffee shop. Located inside Barba, North Common has excellent coffee along with the most amazing bakes – the cinnamon rolls are a MUST. The owner, Lauren, pours her passion and love of coffee & baking into everything she does.
Town House
Town House is an award-winning independent coffee shop on Friargate, serving great coffees and incredible homemade breakfasts and brunch. Town House is a must-visit for any veggies or vegans in Preston!
Cedarwood
Cedarwood is a Winckley Street institution, serving incredible coffees, cakes, and smoothies. Their upstairs area is the perfect place to sit with a brew on a rainy day.
Brew + Bake
Brew and Bake is an independent coffee shop in the North end of Preston, and a must-visit if you’re near the Bus Station. They serve delicious brunches and speciality coffee in a beautiful new venue.
Cafune
Cafune is an incredible café in the Preston city centre, serving South American coffee and cuisine. The Arepas are a must-try and we’re partial to a Brazilian Cappuccino.
Jonah's
Jonah’s is a specialty coffee shop in Preston Markets, serving probably the highest-quality coffee in the city out of a beautiful little shop.
Rise
Much-loved Preston establishment Rise opened their new high-street location in 2023. Located as close to the train station as you can get, this lovely spot is perfect for a brew during your commute.
